Lucy & Anton – A Joyful Celebration in Newchurch & Bacup
Wedding - May 16th 2025
Some weddings just buzz with energy from the very start, and Lucy & Anton’s on the 2nd of August was exactly that. From the moment I arrived in Newchurch, there was this brilliant sense of anticipation in the air — the kind that makes you know the day is going to be one to remember.
Lucy’s morning was full of chatter, excitement, and that unmistakable bridal glow. But the moment that stole everyone’s hearts came when her dad walked in and saw her in her dress for the very first time. His reaction said it all — a mix of pride, love, and disbelief at just how stunning his daughter looked. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room, and it set the perfect emotional tone for the day ahead.
The ceremony at the church in Newchurch was a beautiful blend of tradition and personal touches. Guests smiled through the vows, and the joy on Lucy & Anton’s faces was infectious. As they walked back down the aisle as husband and wife, the cheers and applause felt like the start of a party everyone had been waiting for.
And what a party it was. Bacup Cricket Club turned into the ultimate celebration space — relaxed, fun, and full of laughter. Drinks flowed, stories were shared, and the dance floor came alive as the evening went on. The atmosphere was less about formality and more about pure enjoyment, which suited Lucy & Anton perfectly.
What stood out most to me wasn’t just the big moments — though there were plenty of those — but the little in-between ones: the way Lucy and Anton couldn’t stop stealing glances at each other, the roars of laughter from friends who’ve clearly known each other forever, and the way the whole day felt like a reflection of who they are as a couple: fun, warm, and full of life.
Lucy & Anton’s wedding wasn’t just about saying “I do.” It was about celebrating love in the most joyful, down-to-earth way possible — surrounded by the people who mean the most. And honestly? I can’t think of a better way to do it.
